Level X Cards

Welcome to www.levelXcards.com.

Out of all the pokemon cards available today, level X cards are the rarest of all . There  are currently  forty-three level X cards that have been released by Pokemon. Level X cards are rare because there are so few available compared to non level X cards; and they have extremely powerful attacks, poke-powers, and pokebodies.

The newest set of cards that have been released are Rising  Rivals. In this set, there are new kinds of cards called GL cards. They allow you to play them down as a basic.  The Rising Rivals set contains some GL level X cards.

Level X cards are improved pokemon cards. When you level up a pokemon their HP increases and attacks change. Although that pokemon gets different attacks, they can still use the attacks from the previous stage.  You can only level up your active pokemon. Leveling up is not evolving, although you can not level up on the same turn as you evolved, unless you use a trainer that lets you do so.

My personal favorite level X pokemon is Snorlax level X. It is the heaviest of all pokemon, weighing approximately 1,000 lbs. It's poke-power is similar to Claydol's poke-power, a  very popular card. The poke-power allows the user to draw cards until they have six in their hand. Once this occurs, Snorlax is now asleep. It is one of the newest level X cards released.

All the card sets listed below contain at least one level X card:

  • Rising Rivals
  • Platinum
  • Stormfront
  • Legends Awakened
  • Majestic Dawn
  • Great Encounters
  • Secret Wonders
  • Mysterious Treasures
  • Diamond and Pearl

When a level X pokemon is knocked out, only one prize card is drawn. Unlike a level X, EX pokemon give two prize cards when knocked out. There are eight types of pokemon:

  • Grass
  • Water
  • Fire
  • Lightning
  • Fighting
  • Psychic
  • Metal
  • Dark
  • Normal otherwise known as colorless

There is a new series coming out called Pulse of the Frontier. There will be new level X pokemon coming out in the set incuding Blaziken FB LV X, Electivire FB LV X, Absol G LV X, Rayquaza C LV X, Staraptor FB LV X, Garchomp C LV X, and Charizard G LV X. They will have better attacks, and pokepowers compared to the previous Pokemon Level X cards.
